My all time favorite author/illustrator is Peter H. Reynolds.  I love how he writes children’s books that can drive home powerful messages for children as well as adults.  Our family had the delightful experience of meeting Peter H. Reynolds and hearing him speak about his work.  For me, it was like meeting a “rock star”.  It was so much fun to be able to share with him the impact and influence his work has had on me, and how I have shared his work with so many by using his books to illustrate a point at meetings and workshops and now as a Mom and a blogger.  I also delighted in having him autograph my beloved first edition copy of The Dot.

Are you a Peter H. Reynolds fan too?  He is visiting Dallas next week – Friday, March 15th!  He is one of the speakers for the Dallas Museum of Art’s BooksmART Series and will be discussing his newest collaborative work The Museum which I will be blogging about in the coming weeks.

I will be taking next week off to enjoy some extra special time with our daughter during Spring Break, but I will be back the following week with reviews of some exciting new releases!
