The Serpent Slayer and the Scroll of Riddles: The Kámbur Chronicles – Champ Thornton and Andrew Naselli

The Serpent Slayer is a delightful tale of time travel to biblical times.  Our protagonists, Emmet and Nomi, are observers of many of the most well know Bible stories from both the old and new testaments.  This is a unique book that would be great for late elementary school students.

While this complimentary book was provided for review by New Growth Press, no other compensation was given.  All remarks are my personal and honest opinions.

Way Back Wednesday ~ Love Monster and the Last Chocolate – Rachel Bright

Although not specifically a Valentine’s book, this story is a sweet one!

Love Monster is such a cute character.  I was excited to see that he is now featured in a number of books.  Love Monster and the Last Chocolate is a very sweet story that focuses on the importance of being a good friend and the rewards of showing kindness to others.  We loved this one!

Curiosity: The Story of Mars Rover – Markus Motum

Curiosity tells the story of the Mars Rover which traveled 350,000,000 miles to explore.  The fact that this book is written from the point of view of the rover adds to the wonder and delight of the story.  The book provides a lot of information which can be appreciated by young readers as well as adults.  Additionally, beautiful illustrations enhance the text.
