When You a Brave explores finding courage within yourself. It is a lovely book that includes beautiful illustrations and rich use of literary devices. Although a picture book, it would make a terrific read aloud for older students.

It Will Be Okay: Trusting God Through Fear and Change is a terrific book. The friendship that develops between little seed and little fox is a sweet one. Their adventures together ultimately help them realize that although things around them may change – God is always there.
For little ones who tend to be anxious and worry, this book is a must have!

The Rabbit Listened is a a remarkable children’s book. With limited text and expressive illustrations, empathy is fully displayed by sweet rabbit who understands the value of listening. This wonderful book is perfect for a read aloud with learners of all ages.
Jesus Rose for Me is a terrific resource for sharing why we celebrate Easter with preschool and early elementary aged children. Clear, easy to understand text is coupled with engaging illustrations. The questions for further discussion found throughout the book are great for pause points to check for understanding and discussion. This one is a winner!

I first became aware of the Recycled Orchestra of Paraguay from an episode of 60 Minutes. This uplifting and inspirational children’s book shares the story of that very special orchestra which is composed of instruments made from recycled trash. Ada’s Violin is beautifully written and illustrated. After reading it, I highly recommend watching one of the videos of the orchestra online.
