Ology: Ancient Truths Ever New – Marty Machowski

Ology: Ancient Truths Ever New is a beautifully illustrated introduction to theology for children.  There is a terrific parent guide within the book that provides suggestions on how to most effectively use Ology with your children.  This is truly one of the best Christian books I have ever seen for children.

A Chameleon, a Boy, and a Quest – J.A. Myhre

A Chameleon, a Boy, and a Quest is a powerful tale of enchantment that is filled with action as well as themes from the gospels.  Written by a doctor who has served as a medical missionary in East Africa, the story takes place in an environment similar to the villages in which she works.  Although the book is written to appeal to children with animals that speak and a few well chosen illustrations, this tale of discovery, redemption, and sacrifice is a great read for adults as well.
