God Made All of Me is an outstanding book. Tackling the issue of how to protect your body is not an easy topic to put into a kid-friendly form, but this book has done it. Informative as well as a colorful and engaging, God Made All of Me reaffirmed previous discussions we have had with our daughter. I particularly liked the information regarding the difference between secrets and surprises as well as the discussion about each person being in charge of the their own body at all times.

This is the first book in a FaithGirlz fiction series. It features Riley Mae who is a sweet Christian girl. Her faith is central to each book in the series and is displayed in her words and actions. Our daughter read all four of these books extremely quickly and greatly enjoyed them.
This NIrV Study Bible is specifically designed for kids 6-10 years old. The text is written at a third grade reading level which makes it highly accessible for young Bible readers. This version also includes a number of special features ~ Bible verses to memorize, questions to check for understanding, book introductions, and full color pages which feature Bible characters. The NIrV Study Bible for Kids would make a great first “big kid” Bible for your son or daughter.

Believe Kid’s Edition: Think, Act, Be Like Jesus is a good resource for children exploring the Christian faith and understanding why we believe what we believe. I felt this book would have been more useful if it had focused on being a Bible study guide book to use in tandem with a Bible rather than including large chunks of Bible passages and paraphrases. For our family, we modified the set up of the book and used it as a guide with our Bibles which worked well. The book includes lots of good questions for discussion that demand self-reflection as well as application.

I had reviewed another devotional in the Brave Girls Series, and I was excited to have the opportunity to review another. The one page devotions are filled with great insights about being a good friend and developing strong friendships. The questions and activities coupled with each reading reinforce the important lessons presented and are well done. This is another winner!

Reading this book has become a special Easter tradition for our family.
The Flowering Cross was a very quick favorite for our daughter. As soon as I finished reading it she wanted me to read it again! It is a touching Easter story which focuses on the transformational power of God’s love.
Katie is a six year old little girl who truly loves God. She displays her unconditional love and kindness to her neighbor Jack who is known throughout the neighborhood for being “mean”. Soon her kindness not only brings out kindness and gentleness in Jack but also a willingness to accept God’s love.
The illustrations in this book are amazing. They bring the story to life with the use of vivid color and detail. They truly enhance the story for the reader.
Bible verses as well as faith imprints which include discussion starters are found throughout the book and provide a terrific addition to the story. Additionally, directions on how to create a flowering cross are also included at the end of the story. This was particularly appreciated by this reader since our daughter’s second comment after asking me to read the story again was a request for us to make a flowering cross!
